Dante vs. Alucard Part 2 by GokuvsSuperman117

Gokuvssuperman117: Alright, the combatants are set, it's now time to see who would win once and for all.

It's time for a Death Battle!

Dante vs. Alucard Pre-Battle by GokuvsSuperman117

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Transylvania
2045

?????: No, this cannot be! I've been defeated again?

A monstrous colossus is slumped on the floor, witnessing the last moments of his undead life again.

?????: How, how is it that you've done it again my son?

?????: I've told you. I will always stand against you in the name of my Mother. You can't even bear to look at me this time.

Dracula: Perhaps, but I will look forward to the next time. Farewell...

As he speaks these last words, Dracula dissipates into dust once more. With his father's power no longer holding the castle together, Alucard races toward the outside. He expects peace in rest again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outside the Castle

?????: Well, this looks like the place. What a dump.

A lone figure in red stands at the moat of the structure. He is here on a quest, which is to hunt the Prince of Darkness.

?????: How gothic can this guy be? I know he's lord of the vampires, but this is just overdoing it. It's like he's one of those overacting dark lords. "Oh, how I dwell on such pretentious matters. Clearly, my sanity is the price to pay...FOR POWER!"

The being was clearly having fun with himself, but he eventually put that aside to get to work.

He took a step forward, full of confidence and bravado. Perhaps he had too much of both, as the castle immediately started to crumble.

?????: Aw, I was going to start a party. Oh, well. Cleanup duty isn't so bad.

The red figure with white hair then leaped into the air, landing on top of a pillar.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside the crumbling fortress, another who had completed the task was running. He escaped to the outside mere seconds before the entire building collapsed on itself. He stared into the vast hellhole he had created.

The castle crumbled once again, with the Count down for the count for the third time in a row. The half-breed stood among the rubble, reveling in his victory, and pondering what to do next.

Alucard: (What to do now? May as well get back to rest.)

The conquering hero went back towards the destroyed place, until his senses were put on high alert once again.

Another half-breed was high above. This one's power rivaled his own in many regards, but something felt off about him. He seemed more...light-hearted.

?????: Well, well, well. Looks like you did my job for me. Congrats. Mind telling me your name?

Alucard: Tell me yours first.

Dante: Doubtful, I see. Alright, my name's Dante. What's yours?

Alucard: Alucard.

Dante: The son of Dracula? Yeah, I'm not buying it.

Alucard: What? Why?

Dante: Do you think it would be so easy to lie to me like that? Come on, you fit the bill of the Prince of Darkness. Blonde hair, soulless eyes, old-style clothing, and a vampiric essence.

Alucard: Fool, you misjudge who I am.

Dante: Misjudge?

Alucard: Yes, I am the son of Dracula.

Dante: You know, I should believe you, but...*jumps off pillar and lands on the ground* You don't know how to hide yourself very well. I mean, using your name backwards? That's child's play.

Alucard: I see you won't listen to reason. Very well, you will receive a lesson. Prepare to be cut down.

Dante: There we are.

FIGHT!

Dante moves first, quickly closing the gap between them and swings Rebellion. Alucard counters by simply allowing it to slide past him and bringing his sword out to slash. It's close, but Dante showcases similar reflexes by grabbing Alucard's hand. He then chucks him across the landscape, with Alucard landing against a wall.

Alucard pushes off, bringing his signature sword in front of him to ready himself. Dante runs at him, Rebellion brought out in a similar manner. Both halflings' swords clash, deadlocking. They back off a bit, with Alucard making the first move by swiping to the right. Dante simply plants his sword into the ground, blocking the Alucard Sword. Dante then stomps on the blade, forcing it and the person it was named after downward.

Dante then brings his foot upward, nailing the Dhampir in the face. Alucard gets sent backward again, only this time with a plan in mind. He charges forward, leaping into the air. Dante retaliates with a swing, but misses when his opponent leaps again. This time, Dante is the one to hit the floor with his sword stomped upon.

Alucard capitalizes on this opportunity by stabbing Dante in the back. He's then thrown off when Dante pushes upward. When he lands, Alucard sees that the wound that should have been there was not. It was clear to him now that his attacker had a healing factor of some sort.

Dante: Come on chump, that all you got?

Alucard: Not quite.

Both charge again and come out swinging. Sounds of clings and clangs go by as sparks fly. After a while, both see that it was going nowhere. They collide once again and create distance, only this time, Dante draws Ebony & Ivory, and starts firing.

Alucard sees this and reacts with multiple sword swings, each hitting a bullet. He starts to fatigue, so he dodge rolls behind a piece of collapsed rubble. It covers him long enough for him to bring out his shield.

Dante moves closer to try and get a better shot, but is met with a shield bash to the face. He recovers and brings up the guys again to fire at his shielded adversary. The other defends against them with the shield.

The Cambion with the guns stops firing after seeing it's futile. He then sees the enemy pull out a knife, who proceeds to throw it. Dante merely shoots it out of the air, but Alucard starts sprinting toward him in a shield charge.

The Dhampir slashes Dante across the chest with his sword and brings up his shield just in time before Rebellion comes downward. As Rebellion comes into contact with the shield, Dante jumps backward to avoid a sweep kick. He then busts out the Coyote, ready to blast whatever was in its path.

Alucard sees this and merely crouches in place, waiting for the shot. As he does so, his head looks upward, seeing Dante vaulting above him.

Dante: Gotcha!

The shot is fired with another following it. With milliseconds to react, Alucard turns into a poisonous mist and gets out of there.

Dante: Aren't you a slippery one?

Dante aims the shotgun again, only to have it kicked away when Alucard reforms. Alucard comes out swinging with a gauntlet molded like monster's face.

Dante: So, you wanna trade blows?

Dante then reveals his own set of gauntlets, only these are complete with greaves to match and they resemble a wolf. Both combatants shoot out a fist, which collide. Another is taken, and the same result happens. They decide to just start throwing them out now.

Strikes continuously connect as the debris around them starts to hover slightly and cracks in the barely standing walls appear. A final strike that emits silver and blue lighting fills the air around them.

Both back off again, shuffling through their arsenals for another weapon. Dante is quicker on the draw and pulls out Cerberus. He charges at the misunderstood Dhampir, whipping the 3-sectioned nunchaku forward to club him. Alucard ducks under the swing, and brings out the spear he crafted to stab Dante.

It connects, but the other merely laughs and pulls it out of him. Alucard then receives another boot to the head as he is disarmed. Dante again starts swinging his nunchaku and actually hits Alucard in the chest with it. In desperation, Alucard transforms into a wolf to avoid an oncoming double ice club.

He then charges and rams Dante, morphing back into a humanoid form in mid-flight. He is able to recover the Alucard Spear and uses a laser beam to strike Dante. The white-haired half-demon is sent a few feet backwards.

To even the mid-range game, Dante busts out his rapier: Merciless. He takes to a fencing stance and parries an oncoming thrust. He sidesteps and stabs Alucard's arm.

Alucard backs up and switches weapons again. This time, he's using the Great Sword. He runs up and swings, knocking the rapier out of Dante's hands. Another is thrown, slashing the abdomen.

Dante backflips as a third swing comes out, recovers Merciless, and pulls out a similar weapon once again: Vendetta. Both weapons come forth with extreme force, clashing as if the unstoppable force was meeting the immovable object.

Dante is able to push off Alucard and get another swing in, but it barely misses its target. He brings Vendetta upward to bring it downward, but Alucard quickly shoves the Great Sword through the chest of Dante, and proceeds to kick the hilt of the blade to create distance and a deeper stab wound. He then throws three crosses to worsen his opponent's dilemma.

Dante sees the oncoming holy boomerang-like shurikens and pulls the giant broadsword out of his chest. He then spins and throws the blade at them, cutting through each. Alucard jumps over it, but is met by a stream of red projectile orbs summoned by Artemis. 5 hit him, but before another come to strike, he takes cover behind his shield.

Annoyed with the great defensive tool, Dante rushes at Alucard with the intention of getting rid of the shield.

To counter this gesture, Alucard whips out a sword, which briefly summons a variety of shields behind him, and then shield bashes Dante. The effect of the Mablung Sword greatly enhances the strike of the Alucard Shield, as it sends Dante flying into a pillar stone. After regaining his senses, Dante sees Alucard right in his face, ready to give another blow. Alucard goes through the pillar as Dante crouches and sweep kicks him, sending him over his head.

The crouching one then stands up and leaps away from the area, bringing out a powerful enforcer of a chaos in the form of a briefcase. He does a quick dance, which transforms it into a bow, and then into a bazooka, and fires its missiles.

Alucard simply brought up his shield and let it absorb the oncoming ash creators. Meanwhile, Dante had gotten closer, and laid the briefcase on the ground. He kicked it open, which let out a layer of light. This light was so intense, that it knocked the shield right out of Alucard's grasp.

Dante then switched the briefcase into a mobile battery, which fired homing missiles. Alucard countered this by leaping up into the air and shouting a phrase.

Alucard: Axe Sweep!

After he cried this, an entire legion of axes circled around Alucard, and proceeded to explode outward, hitting anything in their path.

Dante shoots some of the axes out of the air before Pandora returns to its briefcase state. Once Alucard lands, they stare each other down, waiting for the next move.

Both make one as they pull out projectile-like weapons. Dante transforms Pandora into a boomerang while Alucard brings out his two hard to find Rune Swords. Dante launches his shuriken-like boomerang at Alucard, but misses as Alucard jumps over it.

Alucard is then able to close the distance, and throws one of his swords, but not at Dante. Instead, it stops Pandora in its tracks. Alucard's plan is to get rid of it, recognizing its powerful presence by the way it was used.

Dante notices the strategy, and tries to get in a punch. He is met by the other Rune Sword, which is able to make him back off a few feet. Alucard then grabs Pandora, about to chuck it off of a cliff, but not before using it to block an attack from Dante.

The weapon Dante uses to prolong Pandora's time in the battle is Alastor, which Dante then tries to electrify. Alucard is able to kick Dante's face in the open portion of the blade area of Pandora, and gets rid of the crazy contraption.

In retaliation, Dante pulls Ebony & Ivory out to shoot Alucard. Without his shield or a weapon that stays in his hand out, Alucard sprints across the ruined area, desperately trying to dodge the bullets flying at him. He almost makes it to his shield's location, but he is hit in the leg before he gets there, forcing him into cover.

Dante uses a different tactic this time to flush Alucard out. A guitar comes out of thin air, which Dante starts to strum. Lightning bolts strike the wall Alucard is behind. Alucard is knocked down by the sheer shock and surprise of the attack. Once he recovers, the Alucard Spear is brought back into play, and it responds with laser beams. Shocking touch meets burning sensation as a light show of different colors fill the air.

Both grow tired of the act, as Alucard proceeds to dodge an oncoming bolt and Dante shifts Nevan into a scythe, charging toward his enemy. Alucard brings himself to a standing position, swinging and missing Dante as he's within range.

Nevan is then swiped against Alucard's stomach. Alucard grunts in pain, but is able to leap away to avoid the next painful sensation.

Dante comes to axe-chop the fleeing one to finish the fight and his job, but completely forgot about the one thing that kept both interests: the Alucard Shield.

Alucard was able to retrieve it while he dodged away from the second slash, and uses it to block a third. He then braces himself as he pulls out a bomb and stuffs it into Dante's coat. It goes off, but Dante and Alucard are mostly unharmed.

In fact, the main difference between the two are their current positions. Dante is blown backwards by the explosion, while Alucard has taken to the skies as a bat. Alucard plans to use the shadows and sneak up on Dante, while using the form of a bat to avoid suspicion. He flies toward a piece of hanging rubble and rests his wings for a short time, pondering what to do next.

Dante gets up and is confused afterwards, trying to figure out where his target is. He looks around the devastated castle grounds, but is unable to find any traces of life, undead or otherwise.

Alucard is able to get to the shadowy area behind Dante without him noticing. He then summons his bat companion, who takes a bit of an unecessary liking to its master for a moment. After the dispute is straightened out, Alucard commands the Bat Familiar to swoop down and attack Dante.

Dante senses the looming threat, and dispatches it by swinging Rebellion around it to cleave the bat.

Dante: Thought you could sneak up on me? Next time try something that doesn't go along with vampire lore...

The Bat Familiar disappears as Alucard transforms back into a Dhampir, and leaps from his spot. He dropkicks Dante on his way down, who is left dumbfounded for a few seconds.

Dante: Wha-

His sentence is cut off as part of his face does the same. Alucard, on the other hand, has some of his healed by Dante's blood.

Alucard takes Muramasa back for another slash, but is stopped by the appearance of Merciless.

The two have the same thoughts as they both use tapping offenses with their blades to simulate a fencing match.

They assess at first with taps and swipes, growing more and more offensive as the contest goes on. Later, more damaging blows try to claim flesh. It ends when both halflings stab each other in their respective arms and back away.

Dante: Is that it? You scared?

Alucard: Don't think you're at the advantage. I'm not going all out.

Dante: Neither am I. It's about time I do so...

Dante brings out the most powerful weapon in his arsenal: the Sword of Sparda. Alucard witnesses the blade transform from a Soul Edge-like crescent into a double-edged silver broadsword. Dante himself transforms into a much more demonic being; his hair becoming a horned helmet, his body being encased in a tough flesh-like armor, and he sprouted four wings.

The Devil Trigger had been activated with the most powerful weapon it could have used.

Alucard showed no signs of fear or even surprise. He merely took his shield in one hand. In the other, a new blade that not seen before was brought forth. It glistened in the early dawn as the sun rose, coming to set the stage.

He was ready to face this demon.

Alucard: Time Vortex!

Four Stopwatches came into existence and floated in the air. Time around them had begun to slow, but neither seemed phased. Even the following lightning shocks had no effect.

Dante: That doesn't work. We're going to settle this like men.

Alucard: Very well. Have at you!

Dante lunged forward with the awakened Force Edge in hand, creating a trail that followed his motion. Alucard swung his sword, and it seemed four were slicing Dante on arrival.

Dante: (What? What did he hit me with?)

Alucard was able to get another few swings in, hitting many more times than it seemed. The Crissaegrim was quite the weapon.

Dante bled more as it seemed the air had cut him along with each initial slash. He flew into the air to get away from such a mysterious attack. He then summoned fireballs to rain down on his grounded opponent.

Alucard again used his shield to absorb their properties. Dante spiked downward, trying to slam into Alucard. The Dhampir got the first move, however, as he threw ashes into the air before leaping out of the way. They were no ordinary ashes, but Vibhuti, causing Dante to hit the ground and writhe in pain for a couple of seconds.

Alucard cautiously backs away, believing that his opponent would have the upper hand if they were to be in close quarters. He pulls out a world-renowned holy relic: a bible. He then chants a phrase.

Alucard: Bible Beam!

More bibles appear, and circle around Alucard to get behind him. They charge for a split second, and fire as Dante charges toward their user. Dante is caught in the blast, but is able to push onward and eventually outlast the effect.

Alucard then shifts into mist again, barely in time to keep Dante away from him. Alucard then morphs into a wolf to run to a safe distance. Dante sees his canine-changed adversary, and summons a large dragon of fire. He points it toward Alucard, and the dragon rushes toward its target.

Alucard quickly morphs back into his normal state and calls forth another Item Crash.

Alucard: Hydro Storm!

A monsoon of Holy Water pours from the sky, extinguishing the dragon and harming Dante. After it dies down, Alucard calls a magic spell to aid him in his endeavor.

Alucard: Dark Metamorphosis!

He then rushes toward the Devil Trigger Dante, who in turn lands to run and meet him.

Dante strikes first with a diagonal slash. Alucard turns his body accordingly to dodge the slash and its after-swing. Had he not, he surely would have been cut down, like the entire section of rubble that had been cut in half by the powerful cleaving air slash.

Alucard then gives slashes of his own at maximum pace, giving Dante no time to dodge, much less defend. Dante himself looks as if he had been turned into a blood sprinkler, every ounce splattering Alucard, who became more and more empowered by the morbid shower.

Dante managed to dodge a swing, and was about to deliver a killing blow. This would not be the case, as Alucard turned into mist again.

This time, Dante was prepared for the reformation, as he kicked Alucard across the area again. Alucard was left gasping for air as he crashed through another crumbled wall.

Dante went in to stop Alucard's movements. As he got close, he realized he had used all of his power in the Devil Trigger state.

Not good.

He morphed back into his original human appearance. The Devil Hunter turned Vampire Hunter was then greeted by the Vampire Hunter turned Devil Hunter.

The Dhampir raised his hand and gripped the Cambion's chest with extreme might. A powerful spell was called out with the intent of finishing this battle.

Alucard: Soul Steal!

Dante felt his power become more drained, which went to Alucard in an instant. Alucard dropped him to the ground.

Alucard: You're finished. I didn't want this fight, but I will end it.

Alucard summoned his most powerful familiar forth. A green-blue ancient sword popped in behind Alucard.

Alucard: Farewell!

Alucard swipes Valmanway with the Sword Familiar coming to its aid.

Dante: To you...

With a rekindled determination, Dante reaches up and grabs both swords before they kill him.

Dante: And now, you're finished.

Dante's hands became demonic again, only more beast-like in appearance. Their grips became firmer, and one fist clenched, crushing the powered-up Vorpal Blade. The other dissipated before it could receive the same fate.

Other parts of Dante's body did the same as his hands. He grew to a monstrous height, towering over Alucard. His feet became those of a reptile, his frame became like a bat's, and four wings again sprouted out him, only to a more extreme scale. The last noticeable difference was that two spikes protruded out of the arms that crushed a vital weapon of Alucard's.

Dante had ascended to his final transformation: the Majin Devil Trigger.

Alucard froze for a moment to take in what he was up against. Not even his father had such a powerful presence.

Dante smacked Alucard backwards, who subsequently landed on his back. With what seemed like instantaneous movement, Dante appeared in front of Alucard.

In complete and utter desperation, Alucard called out two Item Crashes.

Alucard: Grand Cross! Sword Brothers!

The Sword Familiar appeared once more.

Sword Familiar: Yes, master!

Two crosses emerged from the ground, spiraling upward as a beam of light struck their center alignment. The Sword Familiar traveled up its path, and came down to land a powerful blow.

To add more to the attack, he used a Bat Pentagram to try to damage Dante.

Alucard used the last of his magic to get out of the way.

Dante becomes engulfed in the attacks, with no means of escape. He takes them, but does not reappear when the attack is finished.

Alucard looks at the smoldering crater, but is not off guard.

Alucard: (He's too powerful to be taken out by that, but where is he?)

He took a few steps backward until the steps were stopped by an enormous being. Alucard turned, bringing out his shield.

It is merely knocked away. As death gazed him the eye, Alucard drew his mother's heirloom for a strike. The other raises one of its hands, ready to spike whatever was in its path.

They swing.

Alucard is able to damage the Majin, going through its chest.

But it was in vain.

Taking a similar wound through his, Alucard could not think anything else. His heart had stopped beating. His head slumped without blinking. Blood had stopped pumping. The creature of dawn and dusk was no more...

The spawn of Hell and human, on the other hand, was shocked at what he saw. So much so, that he returned to his previous formation of a humnoid halfling.

No ash or dust formed in the corpse's place. Only blood spilled.

He realized the other was telling the truth, trying to avoid a fight. He had no more time to reason with him now. He was gone.

Dante: (No, what have I done?)

He looked around and saw a rectangular slab. He knew what he had to do.

He carried his fallen opponent to it, laying the body to rest. He then retrieved the sword used by Alucard, and stuck it into the stone, right above his head. At last, he closed Alucard's eyes.

Dante: Sleep well, sweet prince.

The quest was finished...

GokuvsSuperman117: Not going to cry...Not going to yet...Must push on...*inhales & exhales*

Okay, I've got that out of my system. This was a very tough fight, as both combatants were widely skilled and had power in spades. In fact, I dare say they were evenly matched throughout the fight.

Dante may have had the edge of having very powerful weaponry, but Alucard could match it due to his gear giving very specific stats that could counter them. Alastor and Nevan, for example, would likely have no effect on Alucard due to his mail, and Dante's superior long-range weaponry would be trounced by the Alucard Shield.

Alucard himself had many advantages over Dante. Dark Metamorphosis would definitely help as Dante is not one to take things seriously and the Sword Familiar could turn the tide.

He could even go toe to toe with the Devil Trigger with Crissaegrim. Remember, it fires 4 air slashes after the initial strike and Alucard can land 35 hits in a second. After crunching the numbers down, this means that he is capable of landing 175 hits in a second. Dante, even in his Devil Trigger form, would have trouble keeping up.

What ultimately cost Alucard the victory, however, was the Majin Form. Without it, Alucard would likely take it, but with it causes another story.

His Soul Steal, while very powerful, has never been able to one-shot very powerful enemies (including henchmen) in his universe, so it would likely put Dante in a state of near death.

From that point, all bets were off.

Dante simply outclasses Alucard when in this form, being vastly stronger, faster, tougher, etc. with no way of Alucard being able to close the wide power gap.

In the end, Dante simply took the heart out of Alucard.

The winner is Dante.

Dante
+Had superior physical attributes.
+Acrobatic fighting style could match anything Alucard's strategic style.
+Could withstand a Soul Steal...
+...Which would let him access his Majin Form.
-Long-range weaponry could be absorbed by the Alucard Shield.
-Devil Trigger has a time limit that Alucard could get around.
-Dark Metamorphosis would have a highly active effect due to Dante's personality.
-If he didn't have the Majin Form, he would have lost.

Alucard
+Had superior weaponry and armor.
+Could think more out of the box than Dante.
+Spells like Dark Metamorphosis and Soul were very helpful.
+A combination of Crissaegrim, Alucard Shield, Sword Familiar, and reflexes could have given him the win, but...
-...He has no way to match the Majin Form.
-Was outmatched physically.
-Had the worse long-range game.
-Alucard has a limited supply of ammo and magic.

Epilogue
At a pizza parlor...

A TV is showing the battle. Two share their thoughts.

Alucard: Darn. I lost.

Dante: Aw, don't worry about it, you heard what they said. You would've won if I didn't have hax.

Alucard: Yeah, I guess you're right.

?????: Hey there. Nice fight you guys had.

Both turn to see their friends.

Trish: Hey Dante.

Maria: Hello Alucard. Sorry about your loss.

Alucard: No worries, I'm having an enjoyable time here with him.

Dante: Yeah, we're really hitting it off if you ask me.

Trish: Well, that's cool. Hey the next fight is about to show!

 Next Time on Death Battle...

The shinobi disguised as a tracker ninja arrived to his vantage point. He calmly and quietly viewed the landscape as he waited for his master.

That peace is interrupted by the appearance of a green flame.

Cautious, the masked assassin looks to the trajectory of its appearance. He finds a man in red with blonde hair and freckles.

this is pretty interesting
